Staunton Lifestyle :: The Wheeler Family

It was March 2011.  It was still chilly outside though the weather tried to fool us every now and then with a few additional snow flakes here and there. We opened the double white door and stepped inside of what became one of our favorite places to be at.  Quietly and swiftly we found ourselves a seat on the very last pew, not wanting to get any more attention than we have already.  And it began…  The very first day of a new chapter in our lives.  One that has changed every aspect of our existence.  We sat through the service, first being skeptical, later relaxing, and by the end we felt like this is where we belong.  Afterwards we were ambushed by a crowd of warm hugs, smiles and loving people.  And then we went over to house that serves the Lord.  A house that you feel radical love and never ending care.  This is the house of our dear Pastor Wheeler and his lovely wife Maureen.

It was December 2011.  Not as cold as we remember last year to have been but chilly.  The weather tried to fool us into thinking it was spring every now and then with a  few additional warm breezes here and there.  We opened our front door and packed the car with our camera equipment and took off to Staunton.  The second best place in Virginia (the first being Alexandria, of course).  Arriving we met the rest of the Wheeler family (though three siblings were still missing) and fell in love with each and every one of them especially little baby Sadie.  And the rest I’ll let the pictures explain…

Gypsy Park Lifestyle :: Nephew Evan and Mommy

Celebrating today’s beautiful weather and V’s day off, we went out to the Gypsy Park.  It’s over 200 acres and has pretty much everything in it.  A public pool, golf course, huge water fountain, tennis courts, playgrounds, and a bunch of athletic areas.  We did however have the hardest time finding a place to stop for pictures, because you see, even though the weather was amazingly warm, the trees haven’t caught up with growing their leaves just yet.  So it was bare, looking empty, and the grass held its wintry yellow color.  But one thing was definitely worth celebrating…  Evan’s adorable smile. :)

Evan isn’t quite a year yet, but he sure knows how to make a girl smile.  He’s got the most warmest expressions and did I mention his adorable chipmunk-like cheeks?  He really is the perfectly packaged nephew.  Today he was teething and tired, but the way he rocked those photos and not once complain, is a mom’s dream come true.  He ignored his pain and dreariness and spent two hours outside, with us dragging him here and there.  Amazing kid!

Sis and Evan are spending a week with us due to their moving situation and I’m glad they are.  He has grown on all of us in a very special way these past few days and I don’t think it’ll be easy letting him go in a few more.  I’m very thankful to God for sending this beautiful weather and letting us go out and make memories together.

See what I mean?

Love this shot!

Mommy’s precious moments.

We picked up Molly from the vet, so she could join us for some pictures.  She had to go through a dental cleanse and it was very hard on her, but she was such a trooper…

Do you see the dinosaur in the back?

These next ones are my ABSOLUTE favorites!  I mean LOOK at that LIGHT!

Seriously my favorite!

Though the lighting was quite harsh and blinding, the view of the creek was just amazing.

Happy Wednesday!
